Laura Moody was born in 1954. She found her calling in nursing, thanks to her mother. She is a founder of the Grand Rapids Black Nurses Association, a public servant, and an educator, helping thousands of GRCC students on their way to a career in nursing through teaching and the Laura B. Moody Nursing Scholarship. She retired after 44 years of nursing and is still involved in the community.
